After months of discussing and drawings, public notices and talking to the local community,we finally got planning permission approved.

The Local Authority planning team have been a big help throughout the process and came to lots of meetings in school and talked about what we needed to put into the application. We had to supply all sorts of information including technical drawings, risk assessments and detailed plans. We even had to prove that the plane would not fly up in the air if wind speeds of 200 miles an hour came.

We didn't know if we would be allowed to get planning and neither did the local authority because no-one has ever tried to put a plane in a school grounds before, anywhere in the world, but in the end we got it!
