It's not an April Fool!

Our plane arrived in school on the 30th March on the back of a 24 tonne articulated lorry. It was really exciting to see it and it caused quite a bit of interest in the local community, one of the neighbours said "it's not everyday you see a plane come down our street on the back of a lorry".

We had the national media there with television cameras from the BBC and ITV, lots of radio people and quite a few national newspapers came along to record the action. There was alot of drama and quite a few hairy moments. It was a real challenge to squeeze the plane in through the school gates and we all held our breath as it was lifted into the air with a huge crane.

As it hovered over our school Mr Lawrence covered his eyes and he seemed to go a bit pale, as it was finally lowered down to the ground we all went wild and gave the crane driver a big round of applause. The wings and the tail are coming next and once the plane has been put back together we can then start our work inside and carry out all our design plans.
